The Process

The Sparq project began almost a year before the first PR was submitted. Activities included persona mapping, stakeholder interviews, card sorting, competitor research and heuristic audits.

After we had some firm insights to go on, we started wireframes and had regular design reviews with all stakeholders. In these sessions, I would present to a large group of stakeholders and pitch certain features or walkthrough flows.

The UI design phase was iterative, and I would focus on the views that were going to be developed first. This allowed us to move quickly, and adjust the UI on the fly to solve the many integration issues that arose.
